Liberty & Co crocus pattern coffee spoons ..
    Hallmarked Birmingham 1913-14 L & Co..pre ww1..
Bought from a dealer 18 years ago for £215.00 (just had to have them) in original Liberty & Co box ..
Seen two sets sell on ebay (not exactly the same ) for between £525.00 & £750.00 in the last couple of years ..
    I love them ;-)
    hope you like them ;-)

Thanks for putting your coffee spoons on. I'm not sure that they're called Crocus as there is a pattern by Knox, once again, that goes under that (also) unofficial name. These were prob. designed by Bernard Cuzner who worked for Haseler's (Liberty's manufactory at that time).
I was at first doubtful that the date for them to be 1913 as I think that they were first sold by Liberty's sometime in the 1920's. The problem with the o versus O date letters is that they are quite difficult to distinguish! As a whole, coffee spoons did not become fashionable until after WW1 but someone may be able to prove me wrong on that score? But looking at your pic of the marks - it does look like the 1913 lower case o (thanks for that!)
I will post another set on my site of Knox's Crocus plus a single enamel version of yours very shortly.

Thanks Escrimeur, for your comments , i listed them as crocus as thats what the dealer said they were .. also i saw a single one for sale at an antiques fair listed crocus too , it was £120.00 !!! But stood corrected as ive never tried to find out too much about them !!
Its definatly the lower case o in my book , & i wish they were enamelled; -)
      Many thanks .. sd
