Just acquired these figures, I was told they are medieval soldiers. I know they are quite old. But really have no idea as to the date. I was told they are not home made. I am trying to find the maker. I cannot find a mark anywhere. The paint on the bottom of these is pretty bad, so if there was a mark painted on it's not there now. The rider of the horse has a detachable head. If anyone is familiar with these type of figurines, where would I look for the mark? Any help would be appreciated.

I had someone suggest "Mignot" of France. They do look like his work. But still not definitive .
