    These five beautifully hand coloured postcards were sent from France during WW1 by a military sergeant 'Bert' to his 'darling girlie' as he calls her ..
    I photographed the writing for you to have a read!!
    They are of french ladies design in different dresses & were sent in 1917 , three are signed by the artists ...
    we can only hope that Bert made it back to his beloved after the war ,

      I think these are an interesting postcard choice to send and they are wonderful.
      Reading the script makes them so personal. Have you found anything about him?

      to be honest i wouldnt know where to start!!
      I think he was English ,possibly Army, his name Bert ..
      ill try but it'll be a long shot !!
