This vase is 8 inches high with his signature. Hollohaza is still in business but I don't believe this is a new piece. Endre Szasz born 1926 died 2003 was a Hungarian graphic artist, printmaker, illustrator, muralist and ceramics decorator. Bought today at Abvi I like it and thought it was kind of different.

I like the black and white, I know absolutely nothing about pottery, but it does have a Art Deco feel to it, I'm probably wrong.

on Wikipedia it said he described himself as a Folk Surrealist I liked the black on white also

Under the 4th photo it has a date 1831, I've looked online and the company was founded in 1826.

I was wondering what is the 1831 and the number 3 underneath. Could the vase be that old.

Sorry, to confuse you even more, why do you think it's Endre Szasz? Does he have his signature on the vase.
