Photo of my Mother Emma [Ella] McGee
Born 1916 Gates head New Castle England.
Emma second row from back first right.
Not sure of her age about five or six ?
Some children look about three in front row.
Not sure if School photo or end of War.
No one seem to smile in those days.
    Cameras shutter speed slow or
    Photographer instructions maybe.

Love the girls with their dolls . They do seem sad in photo or maybe scared . The doll in nurse outfit was popular during War time . Hoping little girls would want to grow up and be nurses .
