Great Aunt Minnie's mirror?

I inherited this mirror (and wall sconces) from my grandmother who was born in 1902. On the back of the mirror, which is covered with paper, my grandmother wrote that it belonged to her Aunt Minnie, which would place it in my family since the turn of the 20th Century. However, my Aunt thinks she bought it at an antique store sometime in the 1950s, It is 35" high and 23" wide. The top glass is blue. The gilding is almost like a veneer and where it is chipping off on the edges, or rubbed off on the flowers it looks almost like plastic underneath. (The sconces are definitely made of wood.) I'm hoping someone can tell me when this mirror was made and of what materials.
