Laurids Lønborg is the maker of this adorable little animal. The company originates in Copenhagen, Denmark and I really haven't been able to find much out about it, despite numerous Google searches (so much effort required there, haha). I've seen many items made by this Laurids Lønborg, including cute wooden animals, mod floral placemats, plastic coasters and various other kitchenwares.

But is it Gunnar Flørning? Uitgave Lucie Kaas?
"Designed by Gunnar Flørning in 1961 in collaboration with Harry Vedøe . Many know Harry from his illustrations of Benny Andersen's children's books.
They call it "Babyelefant".
