This is my antique cast iron store display hat stand from the late 1800's. It was a little rusted when I found it. But, a good cleaning with a wire brush brought it back to life.
These were used thru the mid- 1900's, to display hats for sale in stores. An era when the well dressed lady or gentleman wore hats everywhere they went. It's perfect for displaying my antique bowler hat.

I have some wooden ones Scott--from my experience hat stands are hard to find!
Hat stands that are in good condition or not priced ridiculously out of range are definitely hard to find!!!

nutsabotsa6, they dressed very fancy back then. I saw a documentary recently that said it was not uncommon for women of that era to change clothes as many as 3 to 4 times a day. That would be an expensive wardrobe to own! Thanks for the comment and the love!!
