Finally got this sign done. After much internal debate I restored it with best current LED lights instead of original neon (that was all broken). That decision was based on the fact that it's hidden, LED has a much longer lifespan, and obviously fragility was a big factor. The white MOTORCYCLE is on a remote control dimmer... The red INDIAN is also on a separate remote dimmer so the sign brightness can be adjusted to work in any space. The sign has "stand offs" to give it a little halo light from behind. It measures 12' x 6'... to keep the weight down it's mounted on a 1x3 and luan "flat" that was painted and aged to look like pitted metal with a little rust. I haven't aged the actual sign but I might. It has a 2 cleats on the back for easy surface mount installation.
Ready for another project!
