I wish I knew more about this piece! I found it in a garage of a friend who used to own an antique shop, she had it in with old costume jewelry. I believe it says "Souvenir of Catalina" being that I live in California, I believe its in reference to Catalina Island which was a popular destination for some time (before disneyland) Whats interesting is that it appears to be made of tin and maybe pearl? If anyone out there in internet land knows about this piece I would love more information. It is quite small in diameter, maybe for a child? Definitely hand painted.
