I just bought this from the gw it looks old and I am trying to figure out how to open this any suggestions. Is this a real watch and how are you supposed to wind it? It has swiss on the face, I tried to unscrew it but I think I am chipping the paint off any ideas? thank you!

      Love ball watches!
Try to gently turn top and bottom in opposite way between your fingers...
Never encountered one without winder, I don't know the system!
Be careful, it may be over winded!

Thank you kyratango I am thinking maybe the stem is possibly broke off I will try turning like this later :). Off to work. Have a good day!!

It's probably black enamel, not paint, and the damage to it would hurt the value. I suggest asking at the vintage watch forums about how to open it safely.

Hi davyd286 I did manage to get it open and the stem is broke off it is a seven jewel watch the works look good but I don't think it would be worth it to get it repaired. Thank you for the link I will check it out.
