-- K.L.G. Sparking Plugs, Ltd., Cricklewood Works, London, England - printed July 1954
*** The KLG Spark Plug was invented by Kenelm Lee Guinness (1887-1937) of the famous Irish brewing family, who was also a racing driver of the 1910's and 1920's. (He set a new Land Speed Record in 1922). His sparking plugs also proved most suitable for aircraft engines and KLG was a main supplier to the War Department during the Great War. - In 1919 he sold world distribution rights for his brand to S.Smith & Sons, Ltd. and in 1927 that company bought him out entirely.
