Just finished this beauty and my 87 year old mom did a super job in lining it with quilted blue square paisley fabric. This one is such a sweet trunk, great size and love the hinge mechanism on the side. I have come across 3 Clinton Wall trunks in my 20 years of collecting. Hard to let this one go, but husband says can't keep everyone. Trunk was made 1880-1890. Nice strong hinges, latches, and great brass key. Tried 200 keys we just acquired from a fellow trunker and none fit. Happy Valentines Day folks.

Beautiful trunk, love the interior tell your mom nice job. I have a Clinton wall trunk in my storage area that is next in line to work on when the snow goes away and temperatures get out of the single digits. Not liking the winter it hinders working on the trunks. Like you I want to keep it but running out of room, I love the hinges so may have to make space for it.
Wow! This one is such a keeper!!! Tell your hubby you have to keep this one! I think it is the best that your mom helped you work on this and the colors and pattern used for the inside could not be better!
