I use to collect keys as a child, and during a clean out recently, I found this in storage. I only now noticed it had writing on it. One side saying 'J. Hubball, Melbourne' and on the other side just 'M P'.

Anyone know of the elusive J. Hubball?

Hubball Locks Melbourne brings up a decent amount of information related to J Hubball locks/keys from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Apparently they were used in hospitals, prisons, etc. Whenever I see MP I think of Military Police, but it could just as easily be Melbourne Police or Melbourne Prison or none of the above. I'm seeing dates for similar keys range from 1930s to 1970s (which would be after his death, so there must be a brand that continued in his name). Here is Mr. Hubball's obituary http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1300&dat=19590603&id=YtBVAAAAIBAJ&sjid=uL0DAAAAIBAJ&pg=5581,275321
