    This lovely plate is going to the next generation. I know the plate was made in 1922, but would like to know the name of the artist. Who is AG or Ag?

      Discerning eye. I went with the A on the basis of the similarity to the A in the subsequent A.R. defining the 1922 date. But after your comment I suspect it could be FG as well as AG.
