A Vintage Spaniel Speck Holder. This puppy is so darn cute, how can anyone resist loving this?! He's the best dog in town. Doesn't cry, doesn't bark, heck he doesn't even eat and you never have to clean up after him ;)
No training sessions involved, he just sits there looking cute and hold your glasses for you.
In perfect condition, from the 50's - 60's.
Measures about 4.5" wide x 3.25" tall x 3" thick.
Ceramic; Hand made and painted. Carved initials = MC
Black and white, pink tongue and big brown eyes.
Resembles a Cocker Spaniel.
Eyeglass holder.
This little guy always gets the attention he needs.

I'm cackling here Sue because I have two of these sitting in my garden.
They are painted differently to yours (not as cute darn) and I think it's because these were an old craft pottery painting set you could buy.
See the MC on the base? That's the painter: Mary Costello, or Melvin Cruet, or Monstrous Custard........or someone else.
lol...Karen, that's crazy that you have some too, the garden isn't a bad place for them, lol!
I got this a few years ago, surprised to find he's from way back. Love your comment and just maybe it could have been MC Hammer that painted him! lol
