This vase stands 10 1/4" tall, and fades from a rich pink to a very pale pink, almost clear, glass at the base. It has a cut & polished rim, and a lovely iridescence over the overshot texture. The indentations in the vase were originally intended to hold a mount - I have seen several examples (pink overshot and oil spot) with the angel mount intact (see pictures three and four as examples). At first I had a strong feeling that this vase was Rindskopf, but no real proof, until I came across examples of the vase in the same shape, but in a deep amethyst glass with an oil spot finish, and attributed to Rindskopf. I have read literature describing the fact that Rindskopf produced various types of glass finishes besides those we have currently identified, including etched, sandblasted, and frosted 'eisglas'. I feel this is an example of one of those lesser known pieces.

Lovely in itself, Michelle....then it's Rindskopf, elegant and has a 'back story'....How pleased you must be!
