here is my favorite helmet to show from my iraqi helmet collection this one was british special forces bringback and was from basrah college a stronghold for saddams martyrs ,these guys reported directly to the presidential palace unlike any other armed forces chain of command ,they were best described more of a militia ,ive even heard them called thugs ,the helmet itself has had the side oval removed unfortunately but it was a stipulation for all bringbacks in the british armed forces ,the american bringbacks generally retain the emblem so a little can be learned from its appearance ,the liner is in my opinion is purely from an m80/03 except dyed black or perhaps woven from black material ,construction wise its purely superficial made from glass reinforced plastic so has no known ballistic qualities but for intimidation purposes it gives 100%

These are hard to find and very popular among collectors.

Here is my example (with the addition of trench art painting):

Wow-- didn't know that these were being reproduced. I guess anything of value will spark repros!

thanks scott i guess you right if there is money to be made ,a shame really and just spoils the hobby ,i managed to acquire a nice fedayeen patch ,it seems to be made of a cotton backed suede with gold stitching
