I've had this trinket dish for about 30yrs or so. Today when I was browsing the internet I saw a teapot I thought was similar but it was Franciscan Desert Rose and this is not.

On the bottom it's signed L.G. and 5-73 of course for May 1973. I was going to say that by the signature it looks like someone made this in their ceramics class at school but I'm thinking because of the design on top there's no way...I don't know anyone that was that talented in ceramics class! So, could this be from a little shop where you purchase the mold, paint it then fire it??? I do remember shops like that back then. I'm also not sure if it's ceramic or porcelain!

Anyway, I still love this and will tuck it back away for the moment until I have room for it on a dresser.

    Just thought I'd share.
    Thanks for looking!
