I purchased this Aspen AD-28 guitar in the mid 70's from a music store in Glendora, Ca. I had also owned an AD-35 that was borrowed, and never returned in the early 80's. These guitars were classified as the "Lawsuit Guitars". They were so close in design to the Martin guitars, that the company was put out of business. The sound is rich and full with great bass and bright tone. Something that is difficult to find in low to mid price current guitars.
I have had devoted Martin guitar players sit down and play this guitar with absolute amazement. When ever I take it on the road someone always wants to buy it. Nope, it's not for sale.
