I bought this bike at a garage sale for 50 dollars. The man told me it is a shapleigh bicycle. The bike does not say anywhere on it what the brand is. It looks like it could have possibly been painted. It has Schwinn hand grips. Could someone out there help me try and figure out the make, model, and approx. time frame of this bike
Turn the bike upside down and see if there is a serial number on the short tube that the pedal crank passes through. This number or series of numbers and letters can be used to determine make and year. You would do best to post this on an antique bicycle forum , they will I.d. this bike quickly!
