I have previously posted a vase by Matsuura Akane and am now fortunate enough to have a second.

Made in the same series the new vase is made from black sommerso glass with a beautiful incalmo top of amber and purple. There is no doubt she is a very talented glass maker.

It is a perfect foil for my other Akane - as a pair they are breathtaking.

    Both are around 14cm tall.

Thanks Alan, Nadia, Austro, Peggy, Elisabeth and VL for the love and comments. These are some of my best pieces.

Austro they do have a bigger presence than the height suggests. Possibly because they are wide and heavy, and do sit and brood a bit!

I do love glass, well I have a love hate relationship with it, I buy it too pass on for cash and nobody wants it. But I clicked on your post and I thought wow now that's a piece to keep. Its stunning shocking to a reseller who doesn't collect anything I would collect it and keep it. Love it

Jem, I sell on some of my glass but these are keepers. You must have been digging through some old stuff to find this post! These are some of the selected few of my glass that have been on display long term; I usually rotate my vases.
Glad you found them and commented, thanks!
