This pipe was my wife's grandfathers pipe and we know nothing about it other than the brand. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

What is the brand? It is meershaum, a mineral found in Turkey. Most of the better carvings are old because after WW@ turkey passed a law against exporting the uncarved mineral to protect their of artisans. This one looks old in the photo, likely made in Austria. It looks like a cigar holder. Don't know much more. I have seen them in antique stores but never saw how they where used.

This pipe is wonderful if it is a pipe four sure, looks like it could be made or carved out of bone?Honestly I have no idea but it is something that would catch my eye if I happened across one.
