Plaque on back that says Tropic Sun Brown Stove Works Inc. It appears to be a stove that takes wood or coal, but looks like a furnace?? Anyone know what this would be called. It is very tall, probably 54" and about 26" wide. Cast iron www.grandpasbarn.net

I would say it is one of their gas fired heaters. If you do a little research you will find out they are still in business and you can write and ask them

It's strange because it burns wood or coal and was hooked up in the farmhouse my grandparents bought and was the only source of heat before they installed their forced air furnace. Thank you for the info and your thoughts.
