These Togatta kokeshi are 32 and 30 inches and really make a statement...
The larger is dated 1984 however I am unsure of the date of smaller one...Still trying to translate signature...so if anyone recognises it...would love to hear...thank you in advance...

Bushbaby I love your kokeshi and these two are just beautifully painted.
I can't help with the id for two reasons: I know nothing about Kokeshi, and like you I spend my life struggling to interpret Japanese lol.
These two are very impressive with their height racer4four...as well as the vibrant colours...I have many more...however...just uploading the ones I need help with...
Kokeshi seem to me to be - the more you know...the more you need to know...I feel I know so little as from time to time...I get confused about what type of doll is what...LOL...Extremely complex...utterly fascinating...AND very addictive...
Soulportal has an astonishing collection on her web site...She has been most helpful with some signatures...It's a good thing I don't have a lot of money...I would be neck deep in these beautiful creations...LOL
