This is a travelling inkwell. People would take their dip pens along with this inkwell to use during trips. Ballpoint pens were not available at the time.
Dear Pablo, thank you for the information...do you know how old this is or who it might be made from? I am into astrology and thats what it looked like to me. Travelling inkwell makes since also. Hello Cindy: This particular inkwell appears to be made of brass, and were used from the mid 1800's to 1930's This is a very peculiar one with a beautiful reppouse. Best Regards, Pablo
Cindy, I'm a Cap with Taurus rising with the pleiades (sp) exactly on my ascendant, and Venus exactly on my midheaven. Moon in Cancer. But I'm not into astrology, but for 2 things.
