I recently inherited 4 of these beautiful glasses from my aunt who was a avid collector of many things. They measure 5 1/4" tall and have Vaseline bowls an a darker green foot. I would like to know the age of them and the manufacturer, or if there are other pieces that might match them. Lastly are they OK to use for special occasions or should I just display them?
* Good chance they were produced in the 20's maybe 40's just cuz they don't have a Deco style but I could be wrong ! I'm no expert on the age ! But still if they are,
and no doubt they are Vaseline then you know sf least early 1900's to 40's.
Each one of those High End Vaseline glasses would probably sell at around $60.00 to $75.00 per. !! Display rings a bell in my head !! (At That $Price$) hint/clue!! Knowing that while watching someone juggling and dancing it around. Might be something to project in your decision of what to do w/ $90.00$ glasses (cuz at $60. To $75. Is pretty much as valuable as $90. Since they're a very HOT Item and will only increase in its highly sought after of not just it's vintage but the fact that it contains uranium which makes it glow under blacklite and Vaseline is brightest. Not to mention the more articulate works ! Get urself an 18 " BLITE TUBE & fixture. Turn it in over your Valuable glassware and you'll be able to see the poisonous uranium radiating and then again ! You can decide if you want to experience the mysterious osmosis of its questionable nature. Lol!! Sorry I just had to add that to scare ya a lil' :..: !! The stuff is harmless !! And if you want to experience your high priced (might as well be diamonds at that price) but go ahead and don't even think if the kids ! :.......: !!!!! Your welcome.
Thanks for your help! At those prices I think I'll just display them.! I have some other depression glass that is thicker and heavier that I use regularly,that is of a modest value. These were so thin and delicate that I was afraid to use them without finding out just what they were.
