My grandmother passed away and left for me
her old china cabinet and along with it came all
of it's contents that she had kept safely in there for
goodness knows how long. As I was looking through
all of the things that were so precious to my grandmother
I found this beauty on the bottom shelf way in the
back. She has very blue eyes that appear to be glass and they are
Fixed in place. She has curled blonde hair, pink pouty lips
And a realistic child like face. Her clothes appear to be very old, she
is wearing bloomers and tights as well. I took a picture
Of her markings but they are hard to see,
The markings are exactly like this:
The letter K, the Star of David with a letter J inside it,
the letter R, and 114 underneath all of it.
Then the words Doll de Fillon is written over the top
of the markings. I would very much like to know the maker
of this beautiful doll and the year she was made. I have no
interest in selling her but would like to get her properly
Restored to how she should be. Thank you.

She is a reproduction of a antique doll probably from 1980-1990s . They used old mold to make her ' Her name is Gretchen
The original one was made by Kammer & Reinhardt and is Character Child Doll,
She is a sought after doll as a original and expensive so many reproductions have been made of her . Yours is signed by someone in a Doll making class that painted her face . They would get blank mold of face by ceramic studio paint it and studio would fire it .You could also buy body ,hair, eyes ect at the ceramic studio . She is nicely done , But not a original antique bisque doll . A Nice treasure your grandmother must have cherished .
      Here is a original one

Is her body also made of porcelain same as face ?
    4. Manikin Manikin, 9 years ago
It is possible she was made a bit earlier maybe 1970's . And she was painted by a French person who's name was Fillon . Reproductions are required to have you sign neck over mark . She was actually a German made doll and had a brother Hans . They had painted eyes . But a few rare glass ones were done and so they used that rarer mold more in reproducing them .

Yes her body is also Porcelin. And her arms and
      legs move.

Thanks so much : ) At least I know a little bit about
her now. I am going to have her cleaned up and keep her in my china cabinet
( the one from grandma ) ; ) until my little girl is
      old enough to have her.
