    Here is a wood cabinet shelf I bought today. Think it is handmade. Going to strip and re stain it. Maybe paint it not so sure.

      Paint!! Wash your mouth out with Cutty Sark! Nothing beats wood & think of the trouble for future owners! Paint is for covering concrete!

      blunderbuss2 I think you might be right, painting it would ruin it. However I think a nice stain might look nice.
