Each gold coin is 90% gold & 10% copper and contains almost one ounce of pure gold. Pictured above are very high grade examples of the 1901, the 1905 & the 1906. Pic number 4 shows the reverse of the $20 Liberty series. I do love these big old gold coins. Glad I bought them back in the day.
The 1905 coin in pic two is the rarest $20 Liberty double eagle for the 20th century. It started out with a very low mintage to start with and only about 1000 coins remain today in all grades. This coin is MS-62 graded by NGC and is one of the highest graded coins of this date/mint remaining in the world. It is easily a coin that would fetch $6-$10,000 at auction depending on the day and the audience. The 1906 in pic three is also a very low mintage year, with a very low surviving population, and has a value that approaches its 1905 brother.
The 1901 dated coin in pic one is a fairly common date & grade and has a much lower value at about 2-K.
