there are things which i can't leave behind even they are damaged...
sometimes because i really really like them.... and sometimes because of the price of them...
this time it has been the price i guess... 3,00euro is just ridiculous
i think it is a bruno mauder design... executed ca. 1928 if i recall the merkelbach & wick mark correctly

It looks like a Rumkopf container ( not sure if the spelling is correct) People of German heritage would add fruits and alcohol together in a lidded ceramic jar, leave it for a few months, and serve it over the Christmas season. I had such a jar by Marzi & Remy, but sold it, which I now regret

      Sorry, Rumtopf!

There are so called "rumtöpfe" here in germany but in this case i think it is a so called "bowlengefäß" or just "bowle"...
you can put nearly everything into a "bowle" beside rhum vodka wine fruits...
but you should have a nice collection of aspirin for the day after.... dangerous stuff

These Merkelbach punch bowls are amazing (and this one with the lettering I love)!!! My best friend has got a collection of at east 12 of them... of course, it is quite a demanding collection in terms of display room required ;)
