Wooden box for silverware

Got this box with the contents for $20 total. (Sorry the photos are sideways)

Box is wooden, not sure what type. Lined with black silver cloth.

CHEST MADE BY GORHAM, with Pacific Silver Cloth Reg.US.Pat.Off. Prevents Tarnish

Has some scratches on the wood, but otherwise it is in seemingly good condition.

I'd like to know when it was made, if anyone knows.
