    • The Souvenir Stable Belt. In WW1 it became common for soldiers to collect the badges and shoulder titles of various units and secure them to belts thus commemorating all those units with which they had contact. Both normal leather and stable belts were used for this, but the latter was most popular as the extra depth of the stable belt allowed for more badges to be affixed
    The Border Regiment Cap Badge
    Sherwood Foresters Shoulder Title
    17th Lancers Cap Badge
    Unknown Button
    Army Services Cap Badge WW1
    Royal Navy Reserve officers button
    Whiltshire Regiment Shoulder Title
WW! Canadian Expeditionary Force Machine Gun Trade Badge
    Us Army Uniform Button
    British Army General Service Button
    Unknown Button
Shropshire shoulder Title Kings Light Inf

    Medium US Button
    Large British Button
    Royal Tank Corps Cap Badge

Hat badge matches set with Shropshire
    CEF Field Artillery Shoulder Title
    German 2nd regiment? Button
    Royal Munsters Fusiliers Cap Badge

Can anyone identify the Belt? It has a leather pouch, A button on the back for a shoulder strap, and a d ring on the front. It also has another pouch for a watch? The owner was Canadian.

      Nice souvenir belt!

The belt looks to be ceremonial-- maybe a Scottish unit or one with Scottish lineage.

m sorry I can't help you with the regiment for this stable belt., but as to the unidentified buttons, The one with the rampant lion is Belgian, I believe the plain buttons are German, and the one you have tentatively identified as French is actually a German Companie button.
