Unusual shaped Slaymaker RUSTLESS Padlock
I would guess this was designed as an out door lock and the shape of the bottom was to shed water away from the key hole.
Any help on age would be appreciated.

Hey - we've seen pieces of it so many times... can you just go ahead and post that BNSF ruler by itself already? (in office > rules and rulers) Got any other BNSF rulers, or is that the only one? Did you used to work for them? Whats the story with this ruler?
I have Santa Fe material more than Burlington Northern.
The story with the ruler is ... it is not 12" and gives a size perspective with the objects so people don't have to wonder the size. A 12" ruler is too much in the way to use all the time and this is thin plastic and just the right size, besides it is more interesting than a very nice but plane stainless steel one I have and have used in the photos or for that matter the thin plastic one with the presidents of the United States.
When I next take photos, I will try to remember to photograph the ruler. What would you suggest I use to give a size perspective to that photo?
As it happens "one thing I happen to collect" is rulers and advertising tape measure-rs. I happen to like train items too. This is a "two for."
I really didn't mean to tease other RR collectors. I just didn't think there was enough interest to post the ruler by itself.

My first post. Do you still have the Slaymaker Rustless with the concave bottom? If so, have you found out anything it yet? I have one just like it with the oroginal key. If it helps the key has numbers (5963) stamped on it. I assume they are a code to match the key to the lock. Let me know if you have any info please.
Yes, I still have this. The only knowledge I have on it is posted here.
