I have recently inherited this dish, and know very little about it. It is quite badly damaged, and had been left in a property purchased by my grandparents (a very long time ago) in Lynton, Devon UK. The property had previously been used as a summer house by a Baron Marochetti. Despite the damage, I have always known and loved this dish. If anyone can shed any light on it, I would be very grateful.

i don,t know one of the dai nippon satsuma yaki ( extended way) , i can,t translate the kiln excellent stuff
i never met a stapled pottery piece that i didn't like. there's something about a piece if someone went to so much trouble to repair it, that imbibes it w/ 'special'!
