    All of these items are dated 1923. They were in a small trunk i found in the trash the other night. The letter from the President of the Railway Educational Association is very interesting. The person in the photo and who took the tests is Mr. Leslie Smith from Calexico [Imperial County], California.

      I found something like this at a flea market several years ago. We were very near the town where the person lived so we donated our find to the local railroad museum in the area. The museum was thrilled to get it. You have a great find.

      Interesting items.

      Your photo is much earlier than the paperwork. Looks to be a 19th century cdv-- most likely 1880- 90s.

      A copy of the back of the image may help to narrow the date.
