7 inch ruler Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad -- With other objects to give size perspective.

For the railroad fan that happens to follow my posts, just to catch a glimpse of my BNSF Ruler ... you will note it is in full view in the first two photos. The third illustrates how it can be used to give perspective to an object being photographed for the CollectorsWeekly web site.

    The back is just white.

Funny that since you have taken an interest in it, I can't find it. Should I be expecting a ransom note?

Another reason I include it in my photos is it acts much as a water mark. It proves the photos are mine. While I don't always show the picture with the identifying object in it, I usually take a photo of all the objects with one of a few objects that identify the object as mine.

If stolen, for purpose of persecution and recovery i have to prove an object is mine. The defense will say "he had one LIKE that" or "he found the picture on the internet." My photos would make a pretty open and shut case for the prosecution as I have detailed photos and the the objects to tie them together.

Funny story about crooks and photos. ... I had gotten a call on my cell number, as I was talking to a lady about a crime, and the caller was the crook involved. He denied the crime and I told him I had video of him committing the crime, and I had a photo that was just given as a positive ID by his employer, whose van he was driving for the theft. He sounded all smug when he said, "a picture is worth a thousand words." I said "that is true, but how does that help you?"
