This was given to me years ago. It was already peeling, but has worsen over the years. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how I can repair this. It does have a signatures signed by Aug Moreau. I don't think it's worth much, it doesn't look like bronze. But, I love it! Is anyone familiar with this type of lamp? Thanks!

Figural lamp made of spelter, which is white metal, a zinc alloy. It was made in France. I am not sure about the lighting fixture. It seems rather stiff and the proportion doesn't seem right to me but that is just my own feeling. The only way to get a great result with this lamp in terms of the finish is too take it off after many pictures have been taken and you have made records of the colours used then clean and prime the metal and do a restoration of the finish.
