I got these from my grandmother's aunt when I was a child. They came in and have always been in the dresses you see. Their eyelids open and close, their arms move and the shoes are painted on. They stand almost 8". One is much whiter than the other and looks older.
These plastic dolls were common in 1950's , The often came in very decorated boxes that you could see through and can still be found in box with dress's all spread around doll. They were inexpensive dolls at time and more for display . Several doll companies made them and they are often called PMA dolls " Plastic Molded Arts " No way to know who made yours when out of box but they are very very common to find and have little momentary value . Rarely sell on secondary market but you will find them listed under plastic dolls on ebay go to completed listings . I would just consider them a great gift and know they date from around 50's . They were dressed as international dolls , and some were boxed by Hollywood dolls .

I forgot to add they are also often called Duchess dolls :-) Her is one in a box
