All I know about this doll is that it is 6" tall, European (I have been told it may be French, English, Austrian, Dutch, German or Spanish), and that it is at least 100 years old, maybe 1910, or earlier.

I have discovered that it has an "M" in the back of the lower head and the word "gio" (or "910"), just below the "M". Maybe even Italian?

I know that the Muri Muri dolls also have an "M" mark in the back of the head/neck, but those dolls could never be confused with this one.

If anyone has any additional information about this doll, please let me know.

    Thanks

    J. R.

I would love to see what you see wrote on her neck . She is mold 910 Above the M or if you pull head up a bit lower on neck maybe country of origin and or a symbol. She Is low quality bisque with a composition body . Her bisque is not a pure quality and you see the pitting and discolored area's . I would say she was made at end of bisque dolls late 1920s -30's. She is either German or Japan . But I need to see the M better if you can . Very cute doll house size doll. Her eyes appear to have been painted after firing her as they have a gloss to them .
