Very nice railroad watch! The Sangamo's are of super high quality...and I love the Sangamo case! You should get it cleaned and serviced if you're going to carry it though. That regulator being set all the way over is a dead give-a-way that it's running sluggish because it's dirty. Check ebay for comparables but I think it's easily a $300 watch...even with the dial issues...
I really should get it cleaned and serviced but I really doubt that I would carry it anyway,it's the only good RR watch that I own at present.I check ebay occasionally to see what they're bringing but most that you see don't have the Sangamo case.

Possibly,I've been watching the one linked by toolate2 to see what it brings,I've heard people say that mint Sangamo watches are worth about $3500 and there are a few on the auction site that people are asking between $1500 and about $2200 and most aren't even in the correct case.
I'm sorry to hear that you dropped yours but that's why this one will probably never be carried,I do have a fob on it just to handle it as much as I do which isn't very much.I picked this one up one night at a local auction for $30.
I know what your saying about ebay,I used to start a lot of auctions at .99 but it's gotten to the point that the only things that I put on there are things that I have a very comfortable margin on anymore you just never know.
My experience is that in most cases the over priced buy it nows don't sell. The market dictates price and what is ebay if not the market. We may not like it but it is... Check out how many watches are for sale there at any given time.
AR8Jason, I think you should drink a little less coffee... Beau5278, If you want to sell your watch I think you should price it at whatever you think is fair and do so. An items real value is always whatever someone is willing to pay for it. If you're willing to wait for that someone to come along I'm sure you'll get your price. But remember, that's why you often see the same item sitting for years in the booth at antiques mall...
