I will give you the same advise that a very dear friend who was an antiques dealer gave me on buying: " Buy what YOU like, if you buy with resale in mind you will lose, so buy what you like, you may have to look at it for a while" sage advice I've never forgotten and I keep at hand when ever I'm tempted by something I don't know about. The othe thing is, educate yourself, know what you're buying or you could get stung really bad even at garage sales.... The web is a good plaace to serch for things ---------ENJOY the hunt !
I actually only buy what I find interesting and have no desire to resale anything. Was just hoping for a kick in the right direction..all of the info out there is a bit overwhelming but maybe I have not found just the right sites yet :) Appreciate the advice though!
You are awesome, thanks so much for the info! I feel a little better now that my hunch is confirmed--I had figured out the mother-of-pearl but am so new at this, I did not trust myself (Dang it!). I loaded the shots you had asked for, and again, thanks so much!
