Have had this in the family since I can remember. I understand my great-grandmother purchased it, not sure when but I'm over 30 so at least that many years ago I'm sure. There is a bit of busted wood on the rack. Not sure what to do with it, was going to donate to the local museum. Trying to get an idea of the year. The inside sticker has a date of 10-29-45. Not sure if that's a service date or mfg date. The ear piece says Kellogg S&S Co, Chicago, USA and the motor inside, The Stromberg-Carlson Tel Mfg Co Chicago.

Is it normal to have an ear piece from Kellogg and motor (not sure what else to call it, please educate me because I would love to know!) by S-C Co? Or might this be a fix instead of original?

I believe the "motor" is a magneto anyway it is a generator. Myself I wouldn't worry about the manufacturers matching. Looks 1920s to me.
Hopefully ttomtucker will be along soon.

Your style of Kellogg wall phone was manufactured starting in 1929 up until 1949.
The magneto is a Stromberg-Carlson which you can see the hole pattern doesn't match. Not uncommon to see another manufacture's magneto in these phones.
