Came with a letter that explains how it was a gift to someone, and past down from generations. From France to New York and all the way down here to Texas, this plate made it safely in mint condition. Please feel free to chime in if you can help identify a little more about it.
Splishsplash has helped identify Limoges, s/he may come along and leave a comment when s/he sees this thread. Could you also post a picture of the reverse of the plate? Gorgeous pattern!
Thanks for the heads up, Katherine! I just loaded a picture of the back. The plate was glued to a shadow box. You can still see the glue in the pic, but it comes off very easily. Hope seeing the back will help identify it a bit more.
The Red overglaze decorating mark is I think, Bawo & Dotter mark 9. 1900 to 1914
The green mark 5 is also Bawo & Dotter underglaze factory mark after 1900.
Bawo & Dotter were New York importers who had a decorating studio in Limoges, France, called Elite Works.

Oh and yes, the plates are similar and the marks appear to be identical. Nice ID! :)
