Hello. My daughters also gave me this doll, mother day was Sunday.
Where are the letters SFBJ there are small spots of red paint. Can it be that had written Jumeau? . It measures 62 cm. Thank you so much again.

SFBJ (Société Française de Fabrication de Bébés et Jouets; also referred to as S.F.B.J.) was the last of the great French dollmaking companies. Formed at the nadir of French dollmaking at the end of the 19th Century, SFBJ made dolls until the early 1960s. Quality of the dolls varied greatly, from exquisite character dolls in the early 1900s, to souvenier dolls of painted bisque, composition and plastic in the mid 20th Century.
SFBj was formed in 1899 by the remnants of several legendary French dollmaking companies that were in financial difficulties due to severe competition from the German dollmaking firms.
