Today's find for £2.. is this Sylvac handled vase with a white swan ..
In very good condition & 6"h x 3"base. Marked on base
-4377- SYLVAC -MADE IN ENGLAND ..
Just thought it was nice .. Hope you love it :-)

I love Sylvac's figural pieces. I think they were the leaders in these sorts of vases and figures. The reeds are wonderful, as is the swan, and the painting on the swan just finishes it so well.

Lovely! Some resemblance to Shawnee pottery in the background. Curious that from the reverse it looks like a pitcher with handle and spout. All the detail in the reeds superb! :)
