This small tool is like many early Antique tools that attach to a counter or table and does it's thing. There is one lever that holds or presses something in the tube while on the other end there is a small brass collar 3/8" in size receiving the other end of the something. The turning handle turns the brass collar onto the something. The instrument is 4 3/4" tall by 6" wide and is completely unmarked. I was told that it had a certain use but I'd like to get your opinion or guesses what it was used for. Will do the big reveal tonight. RER(BOB)

Would say same than rocker-sd!
I thought it would be too small for a shotgun shell but I suppose that it would accommodate a 410 shell. Not being a fervent hunter, I had never seen one of these. The fellow that sold it stated it was used to cap medicinal bottles.

Thanks kivatinitz! I know that there are plugs/wads that keep the contents from falling out when shells are crimped but how would you keep the perfume from dripping out since it is inserted sideways in the tube? RER
