      Hello!
I've done much research on iron railroad signs in general and am not familiar with this one. Locations often help a lot in narrowing down possibilities. Do you now the area this came from? As far as age, most iron signs were produced in the 1900 to 1930's range. However some were produced until the 50's when aluminum and steel became more favorable.

Thanks for the response. I am in the western Pa,Pittsburgh, area and believe this to be local but really don't know. It is definitely cast iron as it weights about 20 pounds.

Interesting. That does help narrow it down a bit!

Interesting enough picked up the exact same sign on a pole still in concrete last fall. It also came from Western PA and no one could give me more info. Maybe B&LE or P&LE?
