That's exactly the type of thing I am looking for.
On another note, it still cracks me up that people still think we all are THE American Pickers lol

Thank you AR8Jason and for the info!
AR8Jason, The hyphen, referred to by collectors as double dot began in 1903, Pepsi changed to one hyphen in 1951. Pepsi's 1920 logo also had one hyphen.
This is the reference I use the most. The carriers are most likely from the 1930s. http://www.underconsideration.com/brandnew/archives/coke_pepsi_chart_revised.jpg
I have two different reference books that I have used for many years and both show the exact carrier pictured as being 40's. One book is by Allan Petretti, so I am pretty sure it is 40's.
In everything I have seen, Pepsi discontinued the double-dot, or colon, around 1939-40, and went with the single dot, then brought back the colon from 1948 to around 1951-2, so I guess it could be from 1948 to 1951-2.
I do not know what you are using for references, but I have been collecting and dealing with soda, gas, oil and general advertising for 30 years. I have several Pepsi signs including two original Pepsi signs that are dated 1945 from manufacture with the double dots, as well as bottles from 40's with double dots. I own and have seen lots of Pepsi memorabilia over the years. I have studied and researched these areas for years as well as have many reference books from well known authors such as Allan Petretti on advertising. I stand by my comments.
My original source was Pepsi.com, from about a year ago. There is no point arguing, we all love Pepsi.
lol my bad :P
