Made for me by college friend 40 years ago! Unique glass and amazing colors. It has made it through earthquakes and floods!

This is just a small part of my giraffe collection, but my favorite.

Very clever choice of glass to make this fantastic window. Is the glass in the giraffe's body cast like that or did your friend stain it?
I love giraffes - my fave animal at the zoo. So graceful, and their purple tongues are wonderful.

The body is bottle glass and is patterned like that. I have never seen anything like it. Just perfect for the unique markings of the giraffe. Some of the pieces are 12" long.

Oregon sounds about right. We live in Santa Barbara, so the trip isn't hard to imagine. Thanks for the insight into the glass. I probably misunderstood bottle for "mottled" when original was explained to me.
